One Supplier. Forging to Finished Component.
Most forging suppliers hand over a bag of shot-blasted forgings and call it done. Shivam Forge goes further. Our integrated facility covers the complete supply chain from raw billet to a machined, heat-treated, inspected and documented component — arriving at your dock ready for assembly or further processing. That consolidation cuts your supplier count, reduces freight moves, and gives you a single point of accountability.
What We Supply Beyond Forgings
CNC / VMC Machining
Rough, semi-finish and finish machining on forged components to your drawing — turning, milling, drilling, boring and threading on CNC lathes and VMC machining centres. We supply to H7/H6 bore tolerances, Ra 3.2 or finer surface finish, and true position within 0.05 mm. This eliminates your need to place the forging with a separate machining vendor.
Heat Treatment
In-house normalizing, annealing, hardening and tempering in calibrated furnaces with chart recording. We supply components at your specified Brinell hardness (BHN) — 180 BHN for normalised EN8, 280–320 BHN for Q&T 42CrMo4, or custom ranges per your material specification. Temperature uniformity surveys (TUS) carried out periodically on all furnaces.
Shot Blasting & Surface Prep
Automated shot blasting after forging and heat treatment removes scale and provides a clean surface for inspection, machining or painting. Components destined for phosphating or zinc coating are dispatched pre-blasted. This prevents your production team from receiving scaled forgings that chew through machine inserts.
Third-Party NDT & Testing
We arrange ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle inspection (MPI) and liquid penetrant inspection (LPI) through approved third-party labs when specified. Hardness testing (Brinell, Rockwell, Vickers) is done in-house. Chemical analysis and mechanical testing (tensile, yield, elongation, impact) are performed by NABL-accredited labs with certificates issued per EN 10204 Type 3.1 or 3.2.
Packaging & Export Documentation
Export shipments are packed in fumigated wooden crates or sea-worthy plywood boxes with VCI paper and desiccant. Documentation includes commercial invoice, packing list, material test certificate (MTC), certificate of conformance (CoC), HS code declaration and country of origin certificate. We work with freight forwarders experienced in LCL and FCL shipments to Europe, Middle East, USA and Australia.
PPAP / APQP Documentation
For automotive customers requiring PPAP Level 3, we prepare dimensional layouts (100% balloon drawing inspection), material performance test reports, initial process capability studies (Cpk), control plans, process FMEA, MSA studies on key gauges, and the PSW (Part Submission Warrant). We understand APQP phase gates and can participate in your NPD kick-off and pre-production reviews.
Vendor Qualification & Approval Process
Initial RFQ & Technical Review
Send drawings, material specs, quantities and delivery requirement. We review for DFM (Design for Manufacturing) issues — undercuts in die parting, insufficient draft angles, wall thickness below minimum forging limits — and flag these before quoting. Our quote includes unit price, tooling cost, lead time and payment terms.
Sample / Proto Supply
Sample forgings (typically 3–10 pieces) are produced for dimensional and metallurgical verification before production tooling commitment. First article inspection report, material test certificate and capability data are supplied with samples. Sample lead time: 3–6 weeks for new tooling, 1–2 weeks if existing tooling matches.
Approved Supplier List (ASL) Registration
To register Shivam Forge on your Approved Supplier List, we provide: ISO 9001:2015 certificate, company profile, facility capability statement, past customer references, key process equipment list and financial solvency confirmation. We support customer plant audits by appointment.
PPAP Submission & Sign-off
Full PPAP Level 3 package prepared and submitted for customer approval. We track open action items through to PSW approval and do not move to production supply until written approval is received. This discipline has earned us approved status with 50+ Tier 1 automotive suppliers.
Production Supply & Delivery Performance
On-time delivery (OTD) tracked monthly. We commit to delivery dates at order placement and communicate early when a schedule risk is identified — not after the delivery date passes. Our Rajkot location gives access to NH-47 and NH-27 highway networks for road freight to all major Indian industrial hubs within 24–72 hours.
Continuous Improvement & Corrective Action
Customer complaints and non-conformances are processed through our 8D / CAPA system with root cause analysis, corrective action and effectiveness verification. PPAP re-submission is offered when process changes affect approved characteristics. We share periodic quality performance reports with anchor customers on request.
Why Shivam Forge as Your India Forging Supplier
Integrated Capability – One Source
Forging + heat treatment + CNC machining + quality inspection + documentation under one roof means one PO, one invoice and one point of escalation. For procurement teams managing 200+ active suppliers, that consolidation has real administrative and risk value.
Competitive Pricing with Indian Manufacturing Advantage
Our Rajkot, Gujarat location gives access to a skilled forging workforce, competitive billet supply, and lower overhead costs than forging suppliers in higher-cost Indian metros. We pass that cost structure through to customers — giving quality that matches Tier 1 requirements at a price that makes commercial sense.
Export Experience Across 12+ Countries
We have been exporting since the early 2000s to Germany, UAE, USA, UK, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Singapore and Southeast Asia. We understand incoterms, LC documentation, pre-shipment inspection, and the specific quality documentation requirements of European and North American buyers.
Flexible MOQ and Proto-to-Production Flow
We accommodate development quantities of 50–200 pieces before committing to a full production die investment. For production, MOQs are set per part to cover die setup and furnace load economics — typically 500–2000 pieces for medium components, negotiable for large strategic programs.
Dedicated Account Management
Each significant customer account is managed by a dedicated technical sales contact who understands your drawings, your quality system requirements and your delivery schedules. You do not re-explain your requirements on each inquiry — your history is maintained and your preferences are followed.
NDA Available for Proprietary Designs
For customers developing new products or sharing proprietary part geometries, we execute a mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before receiving drawings. Your intellectual property is protected from the first contact. NDA signing is typically completed within 48 hours of request.
Shivam Forge has built its reputation over 20+ years as a reliable, technically capable forging supplier in India — not just a manufacturer that ships forgings and hopes for the best. Our ISO 9001:2015 certified facility at Shapar, Rajkot, Gujarat integrates forging, heat treatment, CNC machining, NDT, and export documentation under one roof, serving 500+ OEM clients across India and exporting to 12+ countries including Germany, USA, UAE, Australia and UK.
What distinguishes a genuine forging supply partner from a commodity forging shop is the depth of process integration and quality system. At Shivam Forge, material traceability runs from the billet heat number through to the finished component label. Heat treatment records are retained with chart data per batch. FAIR documents are prepared before bulk supply commences. Corrective actions are tracked through closure, not just acknowledged and forgotten. These are basic disciplines that serious procurement teams verify — and we are prepared for that scrutiny.
For OEM customers who need to register Shivam Forge on their Approved Supplier List, we provide a complete vendor qualification package: ISO 9001:2015 certificate (scope: hot forgings and CNC machined components), facility capability statement, list of current OEM customers, key equipment with calibration status, and financial solvency confirmation. We support plant audits with 48 hours notice and do not limit the scope of customer audits to a showroom — auditors are welcome on the production floor and in our quality lab.
International buyers often ask why they should source forgings from Rajkot, Gujarat rather than from established forging clusters in Ludhiana or Pune. The answer is straightforward: Rajkot has a deep industrial base in metal forging and machining, with supplier ecosystems for billets, tooling and heat treatment that keep lead times short and costs competitive. Shivam Forge has been exporting from Rajkot since the early 2000s — our freight partners, documentation workflows and bank LC processes are well-established and tested.
Procurement teams evaluating a new India forging supplier should request a facility visit, sample supply (3–10 pieces minimum) against their drawing, and the first article inspection report before committing to production tooling. That is exactly what we recommend — and the process we have been through with every major customer relationship we have built. Frequently Asked Questions
What makes Shivam Forge a complete forging supply partner rather than just a forging house?
We cover the full value chain from forging through heat treatment, CNC machining, third-party NDT, packaging and export documentation. Customers who place a single order receive a machined, tested and documented component — not a raw forging that needs three more supply chain steps before it reaches their assembly line.
Can Shivam Forge become a registered approved supplier on our vendor list?
Yes. We support full vendor qualification including ISO 9001:2015 certificate, facility capability statement, sample supply with FAIR, PPAP Level 3 package and customer plant audit. We have been through this process with 50+ Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive and industrial OEM customers.
What documentation do you provide with forging supplies?
Standard documentation includes material test certificate (MTC) from NABL-accredited lab, certificate of conformance (CoC), dimensional inspection report and packing list. For export shipments, we add commercial invoice, country of origin certificate and HS code declaration. PPAP documentation is available for automotive customers.
What is your minimum order quantity for forged components?
MOQ varies by part size and tooling setup economics. For small components (under 1 kg), production MOQ is typically 2000 pieces. For medium components (1–20 kg), MOQ is typically 500–1000 pieces. For large components (20–500 kg), MOQ can be as low as 50–100 pieces. Development and sample quantities of 3–50 pieces are available before production commitment.
Do you sign NDAs for proprietary part designs?
Yes. We execute mutual Non-Disclosure Agreements before receiving any proprietary drawings or specifications. Our standard NDA covers design confidentiality, no reverse-engineering, and no supply of the same design to any third party. Signing is typically completed within 48 hours.
Can you supply PPAP documentation for automotive customers?
Yes. We prepare PPAP Level 3 packages including dimensional layouts (100% balloon inspection), material performance test reports, initial process capability studies (Cpk ≥ 1.33), control plans, process FMEA, MSA studies and PSW. We have supplied PPAP packages to customers in the Hero, Bajaj, Mahindra and Tata supply chains.
What are your delivery lead times for production forging orders?
For standard production orders where tooling already exists, lead time is 3–5 weeks from PO. For expedited requirements, we can discuss priority scheduling. For new programs requiring die manufacture, add 2–4 weeks for tooling. We provide committed delivery dates at order acceptance and communicate schedule changes proactively.
Do you export forged components and what countries do you supply?
Yes. We export regularly to Germany, UAE, USA, UK, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Singapore and Southeast Asia. Export shipments include full customs documentation, sea-worthy packing, and EN 10204 Type 3.1 or 3.2 material certificates as required by the importing country and end customer.
