IS 2062 E350 hot forgings meet the structural load requirements of single-axis tracker torque tube fittings, pile caps and drive flanges without the weight penalty of higher-alloyed grades.
Hot-dip galvanizing to IS 4759 (minimum 85 µm average coating thickness) provides 25–40 years of corrosion protection in typical inland site environments. All batch galvanizing is performed after forging and any drilling/tapping operations to prevent cut-edge corrosion. Suitable for most Indian solar farm locations.
Zinc electroplating (8–12 µm) with yellow chromate passivation for precision tracker bearing pins and fasteners where hot-dip galvanizing dimensional tolerance is too coarse. Suitable for inland sites with moderate humidity. Not recommended for coastal or high-salinity environments.
Two-coat epoxy powder coat system (zinc phosphate primer + polyester topcoat) for rooftop mounting hardware and aesthetically visible components. 60–80 µm total film thickness provides good UV and moisture resistance for 10–15 year performance on rooftop installations.
