Why Choose Shivam Forge for Superalloy Forgings

AMS & ASTM B564 / B472 Documentation

Full material certifications — heat certificates, mechanical test reports, chemical analysis — issued to AMS 5663/5666 and ASTM B564/B472 for every nickel alloy forging shipment.

NACE MR0175 Sour Service Compliance

We forge Monel K500 and Inconel 625 to hardness and heat treatment requirements of NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 for H2S sour service wellhead and subsea applications.

Temperature Capability up to 1100°C

Superalloy forgings from Shivam Forge are validated for continuous service at temperatures up to 1100°C, far beyond the capability of any steel grade.

Closed-Die Forging for Net Shape

Closed-die hot forging of nickel alloys at the correct forging temperatures produces near-net components that minimise machining of these expensive, hard-to-cut materials.

Full Heat Traceability

Every nickel alloy forging carries unique heat and lot numbers tied to the original mill certificate. Full traceability from melt to finished forging is maintained in our quality system.

20+ Years Forging Experience

Shivam Forge has over 20 years of hot forging experience across carbon, alloy and stainless steels, providing the process knowledge and temperature control essential for successful superalloy forging.

Shivam Forge is a nickel alloy and superalloy forging manufacturer based at Shapar GIDC, Rajkot, Gujarat, producing precision hot forgings in Inconel 625, Inconel 718, Hastelloy C276, Hastelloy C22, Monel 400 and Monel K500. These alloys are specified when standard carbon, alloy or stainless steel cannot meet the combination of high temperature, aggressive corrosion and mechanical load imposed by chemical processing, oil and gas, subsea, aerospace and power generation environments. Our forgings are manufactured to ASTM B564, ASTM B472 and AMS specifications with full heat traceability documentation.

The forging process is especially valuable for nickel superalloys because it refines the coarse cast grain structure inherent in wrought nickel alloy billet, producing a homogeneous, fine-grained microstructure with continuous grain flow. For Inconel 625 subsea components, this means better resistance to crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking than machined bar stock. For Inconel 718 aerospace parts, it means superior fatigue life compared to near-net-cast components. The closed-die forging route also minimises the removal of expensive superalloy material in machining, which is critical when working with alloys that cost 15–50 times more than equivalent carbon steel.

Our facility in Rajkot's Shapar GIDC zone has developed the controlled forging temperature capability required to work nickel alloys successfully. The forging window for Inconel 625 is approximately 950–1175°C, significantly narrower than carbon steel, and die heating, press speed and billet pre-heating all have to be precisely managed to avoid cracking or excessive grain growth. Over 20+ years of operation, Shivam Forge has accumulated the process knowledge and tooling to deliver consistent, crack-free nickel alloy forgings backed by ISO 9001:2015 quality management.

We supply NACE MR0175-compliant nickel alloy forgings for sour oil and gas service. Monel K500 pump shafts and valve stems are forged and age-hardened to the hardness limits prescribed by NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156-3, with hardness test certificates included in the documentation package. Inconel 625 wellhead components are similarly processed and documented for H2S service. Our quality team is experienced in preparing the documentation packages — material test reports, heat treatment records, hardness certificates and dimensional inspection reports — required by oil and gas project specifications.

Procurement engineers looking for a reliable Indian source for Inconel, Hastelloy or Monel forgings will find in Shivam Forge a manufacturer with the technical capability, quality documentation discipline and export experience to support demanding global projects. We export nickel alloy forgings to the USA, UK, UAE, Singapore, Germany and Australia, with competitive pricing versus European and North American suppliers. Frequently Asked Questions

Which nickel alloy and superalloy grades does Shivam Forge forge?

We forge Inconel 625, Inconel 718, Hastelloy C276, Hastelloy C22, Monel 400, Monel K500 and Nimonic grades. Additional grades are available on request with customer-supplied material.

Are Shivam Forge nickel alloy forgings NACE MR0175 compliant?

Yes. We forge Monel K500, Inconel 625 and selected Hastelloy grades to the hardness, heat treatment and traceability requirements of NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 for sour oil and gas service.

What standards are used for Inconel and Hastelloy forgings?

Our nickel alloy forgings are manufactured to ASTM B564 (forged fittings and flanges), ASTM B472 (bar used for forging), and AMS 5663/5666 for aerospace-grade Inconel 625 and 718.

What is the maximum operating temperature for your superalloy forgings?

Inconel 625 and Nimonic grades are rated for continuous service up to 1100°C. Inconel 718 is rated to 700°C at full precipitation-hardened strength. Hastelloy C276 is typically used up to 800°C.

What is the weight range for nickel alloy forgings?

We produce nickel alloy forgings from 0.5 kg to 200 kg. Larger components can be discussed based on specific geometry and alloy grade.

Why forge superalloys instead of machining from bar?

Forging superalloys refines the grain structure, eliminates machining to solid billet (which wastes expensive material), and produces aligned grain flow that improves fatigue and creep properties, especially important for rotating and pressure-retaining components.

Can Shivam Forge supply Hastelloy valve bodies for chemical plant service?

Yes. We supply Hastelloy C276 and C22 forged valve bodies for chemical reactors, scrubbers and process pipelines handling aggressive chemicals including hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid and wet chlorine.

How do I order nickel alloy forgings from Shivam Forge?

Send your component drawing, alloy grade, applicable standard (ASTM, AMS or NACE), heat treatment requirement and quantity to sales@shivamforge.com or call +91 92657 72827. We will respond with a quotation within 24 hours.
