Mild steel (MS) forging combines the inherent strength advantages of the forging process with the cost-effectiveness and wide availability of low-carbon steel grades. The most widely used structural mild steel in India. 250 MPa minimum yield strength, good weldability. Ideal for brackets, structural hardware, agricultural implement fittings, and general engineering components where cost is the primary driver.
Higher yield (300 MPa min) than E250, used where somewhat greater load-bearing capacity is needed without moving to alloy steel. Common in lifting hardware, crane accessories, and load-bearing structural forgings.
BIS structural steel grades equivalent to IS 2062 classes. Fe410 is the standard choice for fabrication-adjacent forging applications such as pipe flanges, mounting plates, and weld-on fittings that require good fusion weldability.
Carbon content around 0.18–0.23%, offering excellent ductility and toughness in the forged condition. Used for case-hardening applications, drawn components, and parts that need to be cold-formed or welded post-forging.
Slightly higher carbon gives better strength after normalizing. C35 and C40 forged components achieve 450–550 MPa tensile without heat treatment, making them suitable for light-duty shafts, levers, and transmission links.

Yes. We forge both IS 2062 E250 and E300 as well as other sub-grades in the IS 2062 family. The grade is selected based on your application's yield strength requirement, weldability needs, and impact test temperature (if applicable for IS 2062 E250C or E300C sub-grades).
Normalizing after forging is our standard practice for IS 2062 and C20 grades. It relieves forging stresses, refines grain structure, and delivers consistent hardness (typically 140–180 HB for IS 2062) across the entire batch. Annealed or as-forged supply is available on request.
We accept orders from 50 pieces for standard die-available components and from 100 pieces for new die development. For large-volume programs (5,000 pieces+), we offer die-free pricing structures where die cost is built into per-piece price over the program life.
